The exam is the licensing test required for individuals who want to work as a mortgage loan originator (loan officer). It assesses knowledge of federal and state mortgage‐related laws, loan origination activities, ethics and general mortgage lending practices.
The exam consists of 125 multiple-choice questions. You must score 75% or higher to pass. Note that only 115 questions are scored; 10 are "pretest" questions used for future exams.
