CRC Practice Test

The exam contains 175 multiple-choice questions, with 150 scored items and 25 unscored field test questions CRCC. You'll have 3.5 hours to complete the exam, though you should plan for about 4 hours total when you factor in check-in procedures and a required post-exam survey.

The exam is divided into two sections: Rehabilitation and Disability (R) and Counseling (C). You need to pass both sections in a single test administration to earn your certification. These questions are further organized into 12 knowledge domains, covering everything from ethical practices to counseling theories to case management.

Everything's online through your CRCC Connect account. Sign up on their site, and the application will guide you based on a couple quick questions about your degree and program type. It's straightforward, but grab the required forms from the Fees & Forms page ahead of time to upload.

Certification is valid for five years, after which continuing education or re-examination is required for renewal. You can begin the renewal process about four months before your certification expires through your online CRCC account. Maintaining your certification ensures you stay current with best practices in rehabilitation counseling.

CRC certification is valid for five years. To renew, you need to complete 100 clock hours of continuing education (CE) within that five-year cycle, including at least 10 hours in ethics. These CE hours must be submitted through CRCC’s online system (CRCCCONNECT) when you renew.
